Rachel stands at about 6'0" and weighs roughly 130 lbs. She has a thin but slightly rounded face with small, wide-set eyes, dominating nose and thin lips. Rachel's forehead is fairly wide but not very tall. She has small ears and thick eyebrows. Usually, when Rachel smiles her cheeks round out and hide her cheekbones.
Rachel's hair is long, flowing blonde with a few lighter streaks in it and brown roots. A lot of the time she keeps her hair down since it'd grown out over the summer and it is just much easier that way. When it is down however, her long bangs sometimes fall in her eyes and cause her some irritation. She is very glad that she's let it grow out and is very happy with the color. Though she's always had a burning desire to eventually dye it full on brown.
Rachel's favorite feature is her eyes. These she favors most out of any part of her body and always does her best to make them stand out. When she was young her mother cast a spell on her to alter the colour of her eyes to teal since it was her mothers favorite colour. Rachel has always preferred people to look at her eyes when she speaks to them, not her mouth. Because of that she doesn't talk with her mouth too wide and constantly keeps her eyes on the person with whom she is talking. On very rare occasions she brings out a little set of eyeliners, mascara, lip glosses, and eye shadows to bring her eyes out more but these are only the rarest of occasions.
The worst part of her face, in Rachel's opinion, is her nose. She's always hated how her nose is large and seems to dominate her face. In her mind this would make people think that her face is to small to hold her nose or that her nose is just too overgrown for her face. This is the one thing that she wishes she could change about her body. It's been the worst part of her face since she could remember, and as she got older she felt that it got worse but she knew that there was still no way she'd actually change it. It was just part of who she was.
On first glance, people usually mistake Rachel for an athletic sort of person. Many times she's been asked what sport she plays and the answer was always none besides Quidditch. Rachel just naturally had a high metabolism and was naturally fit. Her slim figure always seems to deceive most people and lead them to believe that she lives a very active life, but in truth, Rachel tends to procrastinate and doesn't always exercise like she wants to.

distinguishing marks; A couple scars, left over from her duel with her ex-fiance before she killed him. Also, her eyes. They are teal so it's a bit suprising to some people.

Rachel is a fighter. She has suffered a great deal of neglect and abuse in her life from men which is one reason, as well as because of her own desires, why she became bi-sexual. Rachel is in truth a rather proud and fiery young woman, someone who dislikes being belittled or controlled. After getting away from the abuse and neglect she suffered from Rachel vowed to herself never again to be a victim of it or be controlled by others.
Rachel can be very sarcastic, untrusting and even cold. But if you are her friend or someone close to her, she will stick up for you with everything she’s got. Underneath the proud and will strong woman, there is a warmer side to her, and a wild heart still capable of love and passion. She is easily offended and has a temper to be fearful off, so one should be careful not to cross her, because Rachel is sure to repay the favor. Especially if someone hurts those dear to her. She has never been one to need attention, though she does enjoy flirting more then she should, and she has never been good at accepting help or comfort from others preferring to fight her own battles and deal with her problems alone.
She has an uncanny talent for seduction, which most have noted by the look in her eyes. She can be very brazen and isn’t ashamed to use her body to get her what she wants. She has never taken this to far however, nothing more then the simple flirting and gestures to match that she enjoys oh so much. She has been known to be a bit sadistic at times, not caring about who she hurts or even kills if it's necessary. She does not kill just to kill however. Which is why there has only been one person she's killed thus far.

Growing up in Dublin Ireland, Rachel was, naturally, closer to her mother. Her father was too often away on business, leaving his wife and daughter behind at home to their endless devices. The two became very close in his absence. Solanea spent time teaching Rachel her favorite past time when she herself was a child: playing the piano. Rachel never became brilliant, like her mother, but she enjoyed it nevertheless. Rachel's mother encouraged the girl's imaginative and adventurous nature, instilling a love for all things musical in her at a very young age.
Rachel's father worked as a Dragon Tamer in Romania and was often called overseas to handle a new dragon that had arrived in. Though he didn't talk about his work much, when he was home, he was often busy and very distant. Of course, being that he and his wife were former Deatheaters under Lord Voldemort that where trying to put their past behind them and have a normal life would make anyone that way. He took care of his family, but it was at a cost. Rachel was never close with her father in her younger years; her mother tended to her, and when the three of them were together, it wasn't very often that she spent good, quality time with her father.
Solanea and Malachi Hawthorne only had one child, and Rachel was never one of those children who begged for brothers and sisters. She was content with being an only child, for the most part. She didn't have much of an extended family. Rachel's father had also been an only child, and both of Rachel's grandparent's from both sides were deceased.
Just after Rachel's eighth birthday, her mother was killed by an Auror who had been tracking her wearabouts for quite some time. Malachi, being home at the time, grabbed his daughter and fled the house at his wife's request. Taking up the new name of Isley, Rachel's father did whatever he could to keep his daughter safe. Rachel was devastated and really needed her father, but it wasn't long before Malachi was back at work, covering for his family once more, and a nanny was placed in charge of Rachel's care, up until the time she would come to Hogwarts. Her father buried his head in his work even more then before as a distraction from his wife's death, 'making up' for the lack of time he spent with Rachel by spoiling her with things she didn't need, lending more to her cold and covetous personality.
Upon entering her first year at Hogwarts, Rachel was sorted into Ravenclaw, the house her mother had been in. It was something the girl would constantly question as she grew older; it seemed quite obvious, at least to Rachel, that she belonged in Slytherin, like her father. Perhaps the rumors were true, and the Sorting Hat really knows what the heart wants; even if the wearer hasn't gotten that much sorted out, yet. Maybe Rachel is destined to follow in her mother's footsteps, in some ways more than others.
During her First year, Rachel learned that her father would be going overseas for the duration of the term and into the summer, though the actual reasons would remain hidden from her for quite some time, and that while he was away she would be on her own for the time being. This was not pleasant news for the young girl, and her first year at Hogwarts became a whirlwind of bitterness, revenge, and new opportunities.
She joined the Quidditch team in her second year, an action that was strictly against her father's rules, taking the spot of Seeker in an attempt to rebel against his decision to leave her on her own until the beginning of her next term. And to everyone's surprise, she was actually pretty good at it. By the end of her fourth year she had already made Co-Captain, and at the start of her fifth year got promoted to the Captain position when the previous Captain graduated. Other then Quidditch, she occupied her time by taking care of various creatures on the grounds. Care of Magical Creatures Class had turned out to be rather enjoyable for Rachel. So much so that she decided that no matter what happened, one day she would try for the postion of Care of Magical Creatures Professor.
Throughout her later years at Hogwarts she attempted to rid herself of the man who was never truly around for her anymore. The summer after her sixth year, Rachel stood up to her father, telling him that he meant nothing to her anymore. He had never been around and she had grown up to be a brilliant woman and witch just like her mother without his help. Towards the end of her Seventh year, Rachel recieved an owl from a close friend of her mothers. The letter detailed the death of her father. The Auror that had taken her mothers life had finally caught up to her father and killed him as well. Rachel hated her father for never being around, but knowing he was dead sent her into a even deeper abyss then she had already been in. She never admitted it, but she still loved him.
After all her hard work in school, and having no family anymore, she became independent and was able to make her own life. After her graduation from the school that had became her home and refuge most of her life, Rachel left the grounds to live out a life away from the painful memories that still lingered. Over the next five years she practiced and studied to become an animagus on her own and in secret. She took on the form of a Corsac Fox, which held much meaning to her because her mother and her used to care for a pair of them before she died. Doing so was no easy task however. Books about the techniques required to become an animagus were scarce at best. She eventually found them over the years, pulling strings with friends she had made in the Ministry and from school, and continued to learn the ability all the while keeping her learnings a secret and remaining unregistered for the time being. To keep her friends from worrying about her staying unregistered, she informed them that learning the ability in secret was the best way for her to gain a greater lead on who the auror was that killed her parents.
At the age of 23, she met the man she thought was the love of her life, a Romanian pureblood named Markus Korzha. But instead of helping her with her dreams and goals to eventually return to Hogwarts and take up the position of Care of Magical Creatures Professor, Markus exploited her, used and abused her. The man she loved brought her back to the abyss she had thought she had finally gotten away from all those years ago.
After three years, Rachel left him, moving away and tried to get a fresh start. But Markus followed her, finding her in a hotel suite, threatening to kill her if she would try to leave him again. In a heated duel in the suite, triggered by him, she killed Markus with the Killing Curse. Lucky for her, no one was around to see her kill him. Rachel walked away, leaving Markus’ corpse with no regret or guilt. It wasn't until she read about his body being found in the Daily Prophet that Rachel began to be extra careful not to give any indication it was she who killed him. That night, she returned to her once safehaven Hogwarts. After a few months, she followed her dream and applied for the Care of Magical Creatures Professor position and was accepted.
Now, four years later, Rachel was offered to take the position of Headmistress at Hogwarts by the Ministry. Overjoyed, Rachel accepted wholeheartedly. In all her life she never expected to gain the position she did. Her hard work had finally payed off.
