Have you ever felt this way?

Being the lucky girl that she is, Dawn has a lovely mix of Italian and Irish traits running through her thanks to her parents. Much like her mother she has thick, luscious, free flowing hair that has bouncy curls toward the ends. Always kept at a length that reaches past her shoulders the locks frame her high cheek bones, which is another trait she received from her mother. Above the high cheek bones are almond shaped eyes which is a genetic trait she share with her father. They are golden brown with dark rims. The only time they change color is when she is either upset or angry, in which case they turn a dark brown. Her fair skin carries a natural healthy glow that compliments the few freckles that run across her nose and pink tinted cheeks.
Standing at an average height of five feet and six inches tall Dawn has been told by several people that she has the physique of a ballerina. Her body has always been slim, but in a healthy toned manner. It was when she gained her well defined curves in her early teen years that she began to feel slightly conscience about her body, but it was a phase she quickly over came. Just like anyone else, Dawn isn't perfect by any means. Her skin is marred by various scars, most of which were caused by little every day things and quidditch. The scars she has received since graduating Hogwarts have most likely been caused from auror training. Her most prominent scar is a three inch cut on her elbow which she received from a piece of broken mirror.
When it comes to the appearance of clothing Dawn likes to keep it simple. When in Hogwarts she tends to wear simple yet elegant dress suits to keep a professional appearance, but at the same token she’s able to kick off her shoes and get comfortable in the privacy of her office. When the weekend rolls around she doesn’t mind roaming around the school in a pair of jeans and a top to her liking. In fact she would do it every day if she could get away with it.

Daring, loyal, and chivalry… The same words that can be used to describe a true Gryffindor can be used to describe Dawn Holbrook.
Dawn has always had a mind of her own since the day she was born. If anyone told her she couldn’t achieve something then she would do anything in her power just to prove them wrong. If she’s given a reasonable challenge then she’s not one to turn it down. Not only does she like to be challenged by others but she likes to challenge herself. Dawn doesn’t want to be a part of anything she isn’t going to give a hundred percent of herself. She has always strived to do her best… Knowing the struggles her parents went through with their own families while growing up she had felt the need to be the perfect daughter over the years in her adolescents. Dawn had never felt pressured from her parents to be a certain way, but even so she tried so hard to be good at everything. It wasn’t until her father pulled her to his side as she cried over a failed grade school math test when she was eight years old that she realized that being perfect didn’t really matter all that much. Samuel had told his daughter that she could act, be, and do whatever she wanted in life as long as she was true to herself and her heart. She didn’t have to prove anything to anyone or impress anyone but herself.
If there was only one thing her parents had ever expected out of their daughter it was that she treated others with kindness and not to be one to quickly judge someone. It had been a trait she had naturally picked up from her parents. ‘Treat others the way you want to be treated,’ was a saying she had heard plenty of times in her youth and it’s something she truly believes in even though there has occasionally been a few exceptions to the rule. Making friends has always been rather easily because of this disposition, but in return it’s also made making enemies rather easy as well. Outspokenness has always been a trait Dawn has had since a young age and many have suspected that she had gotten it from her mother. Never once had she been afraid to say what was on her mind whether if it was in a debate or if she’s sticking up for others or herself… She would bend over backwards for those who have her trust and loyalty.
Though her temper isn’t something that is seen too often it’s definitely a force to be reckoned with. Overall she’s known for having a cool and collected demeanor, one of which that allows her to brush things off without much thought, however, if someone crosses her imaginary line once too many times she won’t stop herself from lashing out. Words of sarcasm and wit will fly out of her mouth and a glare of daggers will come from her usually friendly eyes. Dawn could be fine one minute and yelling at someone the next depending on the situation. She doesn’t tolerate disrespect and she makes sure everyone knows this now that she's at Hogwarts as a 'teacher'. Every student should feel as if they belong and any student not treating their fellow classmates properly will certainly get an ear full from her.
Dawn has always been one to keep her problems and worries to herself even though she always lending her ears to others when they need it the most. She can’t help but feel as if her burdens should be her own and that no one else should have to deal with them. There have only been a few people she would allow her mask to falter in front of especially if she truly needed a shoulder to lean on.

Dawn was born October 15th, 2006 in Suffolk, England to Samuel and Elizabeth Holbrook in a community where both muggles and wizards lived.
Being an only child she was spoiled to a small extent, mainly by her father, but she was kept grounded by the morals and values her parents had bestowed upon her. There were never any discussions about blood types, wealth, or other rakings… With Elizabeth being disowned by her family for marrying a wizard and with Samuel's parents disapproving his marriage to a muggle they both knew they wanted to raise their children to be open to all walks of life. When she was five years old her mother enrolled her into a regular muggle grade school so she could socialize with children of both the muggle and wizardry worlds.
Dawn was extremely bright for her age and did well in school except for a few issues here and there. It became apparent that Dawn was someone who had little patience for things like bullying or disrespect. There had been several occasions where she had gotten in trouble for pushing a boy who had been taunting her and her friends. It was an action that had repeated itself several times much to her parents displeasure, but they eventually came to the conclusion that it was better that their daughter was willing to stick up for herself and others.
By the time she was eight years old Dawn was showing quite a bit of magical ability. Her father would pull her aside to teacher her a few simple spells after he got home from work which greatly satisfied her craving for knowledge. It was because of her constant curiosity and studying of things that her parents were fairly convinced that she would get into Ravenclaw, even though she did have a strong sense of adventure. It truly didn’t matter to them what house she would end up in. By the time Dawn received her letter from Hogwarts she was more than prepared to go to school having studied the whole summer previously. School was an exciting, fun, and relaxing environment for the sorted Gryffindor.
As a first year she often got in trouble for sneaking out late at night to snag one of the practice brooms, most of which she had crashed. She had even broke her arm in one incident where she crashed a broom into a shed on school grounds. She did this in hopes of learning how to ride a broom faster than any of the other first years because she was determined to get on Gryffindor's qudditch team.
Luckily after the first year she learned how to do things more discreetly. She never did anything real harmful... In the end all she wanted to do was explore the castle and she did that in her own sneaky way. Perhaps she wasn't as sneaky as she had thought thought though because she did get caught a few times. It was because of this she became best friends with Christopher Davies and James Potter (though she had been friends with James since she was eight).
Like nature attended Dawn matured greatly during her fifth and sixth year. She took her studies more seriously and ended up doing well in most of her classes much to her relief. Perhaps that's how she had became head girl her seventh year, but the true reason as to why that happened she will never know.
If one thing stayed true throughout the years it was Dawn's personality. She never backed down from a challenge or from what she believed to be right. After graduation from Hogwarts she began training to become an auror and literally began her career from the bottom up. After spending nearly two years doing odd jobs being asked to work at Hogwarts as an undercover wasn't exactly what she had imagined, but she's content with the way things are for now, just as long as she can escape from Hogwarts a few times a week.
