Name: Lisa Violet Green Age: 17 Year: 7th House: Slytherin Example: [taken from my old posts hope it's good enough ] Going down-stairs with a smile which could melt men's hearts she ran her hand through her hair. In the common room where sitting some boys who dropped their yaws seeing her. But she did not give them even the smaller look. She approached the door and simply left the Slytherin common room. She didn't know where she was heading too but she walked through the dungeons with her chin up. She walked up to the ground floor and then one floor higher stepping like a queen with servants around. She was supposed to do her prefect rounds but she usually shirked her duties. But she found nothing wrong with visiting every Hogwarts floor. A Girl walked over to the window, looked outside and smiled at the sun. It was an early fall time yet and the weather was a lot nicer than during the upcoming winter. A girl took a sit on a window sill and pulled her wand out. She started playing with it between her fingers thinking the spells she had learned on her 'private lessons'. Playing with a wand between her fingers Lisa heard footsteps from far. She saw no one but the footsteps were more audible in every second passed. She hoped it wasn't any teacher. She didn't want to explain why she was sitting here on the window-sill instead of doing her rounds. She liked the power she got with a prefect badge but sometimes that position bugged the crap out of her. People expected too much of her in her opinion. She had better things to do than checking if everything in a place appointed her for the rounds was alright. She had better things to do than turning students to their dorms where it was close to curfew. Of course when it was someone she hated or wanted to take revenge on she had no resistance to use her so called power. A daughter of Roger Green got off of the window-sill placing her feet back on the cold stone floor. She adjusted the prefect badge pinned to the top of her dress. She decided to pretend that she was going down the hall in case it was a professor approaching her.

Post by Aurelia Rose Parker on May 9, 2011 13:04:33 GMT -5
Name: Aurelia Rose Parker Age: 16 Year: Sixth House: Ravenclaw Example:
"Lumos..." The word echoed through the quiet sixth floor corridor as Aurelia held up her wand, which was now emanating a moderate light source from the tip of her wand, and made her way slowly along the hallway. She had just started her rounds as Prefect to patrol the corridors for the night incase any students were trying to break curfew. A small sigh escaped her lips and she yawned rather tiredly. "This position is going to be the death of me, I swear..." A small and barely audible giggle came from her mouth. What else could she do? She was expected to live up to her position and she would do just that, no matter how exhausted she might have been.
Picking up her pace ever so slightly, she rounded a corner and made her way towards the stairwell leading down to the Fifth floor. "How I ever managed to get this position I will never know..." She knew her thought wasn't completely true but she couldn't help but think otherwise. On the outside, Aurelia was definitely what you would expect of a responsible Ravenclaw. She kept to her studies and looked after her grades, all the while being a rather responsible student so as not to cause to much trouble. Gaining the Prefect position was a shoe-in for her. She of course would never admit that to herself. In her own mind, she was far from the 'perfect' student. Never the less, she accepted the position and was glad that she had at least some kind of opportunity to prove her worth outside the Quidditch field.
Pausing for a moment as the light from her wand slowly began to fade she looked down the stairway, watching a faint streak of light cross by the Fifth floor corridor below. "Lumos.." Raising her wand back up she glanced back down the stairway. "Looks like I'm not the only one making rounds tonight.." The whisper was soft but it still echoed quietly though the empty corridors of the castle. Attempting to stifle another yawn Aurelia spun back around and made her way off to continue her rounds herself. Once she did so, she could finally return to her soft welcoming bed and get the sleep so achingly yearned for.

Name: Matthew Greyback Age: Sixteen Year: Sixth House: Gryffindor Example:
The day had been long, and as if someone was trying to make it even worse, it was exceedingly boring. Matthew Greyback was about at his wits end with his classes as he had accumulated enough homework to weigh him down for the rest of the year. Teachers had a funny way of ruining everyone’s lives and blaming it on making students better. Matt wasn’t sure if he bought it one hundred percent, because, let’s face it, if he was a teacher and was in a bad mood he would probably give out a bunch of homework for no reason just to keep the class busy. His frustrations aside, Matt collected himself for his nightly patrol. Despite the way Matt liked to come across, he really did care about school, which showed when he was given the honour of being a Prefect in his fifth year. His friends made fun of him for it but he took the job quite seriously. He wanted to lead by example and make the Gryffindor house the best it could possibly be.
Stepping around a corner on the seventh floor Matt had to stop himself from laughing as he saw two canoodling third year students, cozying up on a bench in the corner of one of the hallways. He shook his head, thinking about the stupidity of the two. If you’re going to sneak out after curfew at least hide yourself well. The two were pretty much sitting out in broad day light. Sigh, was he ever that naïve when he was thirteen?
“Having a good time tonight guys?” he announced as he walked in front of the bench. The two jumped and instantly moved apart from one another. Their eyes were wide as they stared at Matt, “ Sorry to break up the party ladies.”
The boy sighed, ”Oh, come on, please don’t report us! …It’s not our faults!” he squeaked.
“I know, I know the heart wants what the heart wants,” he said with heavy sarcasm, “Come on, I’m taking you and your raging hormones back to your common rooms.”
The two stood, dejected and nodded.
“Do me a favour and next time don’t get caught,” he said as they started to walk, “ I hate being the ultimate cock-block.”

Post by Lucy Weasley on May 20, 2011 2:19:09 GMT -5
Name: Lucy Grace Weasley Age: Seventeen Year: Seventh House: Hufflepuff Position Going For: Head Girl Example:
Lucy Grace Weasley had always striven to be the best she could possibly be, and make her father, Percy Weasley, the proudest father he could be. In his school years, Percy had been prefect and Head Boy, and Lucy was determined to make him proud of his little princess by being not only prefect, as she was in her 5th year, but Head Girl also. See, being a Hufflepuff, and breaking Weasley tradition, had its ups and its downs. On the up side, Lucy was an individual. She was loyal, and she could be trusted, that much was said by her house alone. On the down side, she broke tradition. Every Weasley before her had been a Gryffindor. It was unheard of for anything else to happen. However, Lucy had never been very brave, yet she had always been loyal. Loyal Lucy, that was her.
Lucy felt at home in Hufflepuff, with so many others like her, not brave, not conniving, not geniuses...what they had was their loyalty. The fact that they were the greatest people to have for friends. That was the detail that they held proudly to. However, Lucy was still held back by the fact that she had broken tradition. Yes, so had others in her family, Rose, for example was a Ravenclaw. But that was normal, she had Hermione for a mother. Albus was a Slytherin, but he was technically also a Potter. Lucy was determined to prove to her family that being in Hufflepuff did not mean she was a leftover.
So in her fifth year, her hard work shone through. She was awarded the position of Hufflepuff 5th year prefect, and she wore the title proudly. She was responsible for her own cousin, James Potter, getting detention upon several occasion, and she was sure he hated her all the more for it.
Her first night of patrolling was a little nerve-wracking for Lucy, being that she wasn't very brave. Yet she got through it no problem. She ran into another 5th year who was having his first night on the job as well. Funnily enough they both thought the other was a student out of bed, breaking the rules. The situation went a little something like this;
" Lucy's small feet in her little black flats made almost no noise as she paced the hallway outside the Hufflepuff Common Room on her first night of patrol. She was nervous. Far too nervous, and she wasn't sure that she would be good enough for the job. Her thoughts raced, and suddenly she thought of her father. The look on his face when they opened the Hogwarts letter that summer to find out that she had been made prefect. He had been so proud of his little girl, and Lucy could almost cry from the joy of seeing her father so happy.
Lucy smiled the memory sparking courage into her heart. Alright, Luce. Get to it. You can't pace the entrance to the common room forever. Go out there, and show the troublemakers you mean business. Show them you're the one in charge and that if they try to struggle they'll just end up with even more detention. She giggled softly at her mental pep talk, but was surprised to see it worked as she suddenly found herself walking away from the common room.
Ever-changing staircases, led her close to the Ravenclaw tower, and Lucy walked the halls with confidence. Suddenly she heard the shuffle of feet and the swishing of robes. Her first thought was a professor, and she didn't panic, but then it didn't sound like a professor, it sounded smaller. She took a breath and called out.
"Don't even think about running away, it's too late, you'll just end up with even more detention if you try to run." She nodded satisfied and then turned the corner quickly. Her wand was held out, pointed in the direction of the noise, and she found it to be a young boy, around her age. "What do you think you're doing, wandering the halls this late?" She asked, accusingly. The boy looked at her with confusion. "I should ask you the same thing, miss." He said. Her eyebrows furrowed. "I'm a prefect, and if you --" The boy cut her off with a laugh. "I'm a prefect, too miss." A fierce blush rushed to Lucy's cheeks as she muttered an apology and backed against a wall. "
The two young prefects carried on conversation for a while, finishing their duties together that night, and the boy even walked Lucy to her common room before they said good night.
Two years later, Lucy is a beautiful grown woman, one of the best in her class, and still the most loyal girl there is. She's loyal to her house, loyal to her family, loyal to her friends, loyal to the school, and also, importantly, loyal to the rules.
She wants to finish the year out with a bang, but not in the way her Uncle George did, with fireworks and whatnot. No, Lucy wants to be Head Girl her seventh year, she wants to go that extra step in proving she is worth something, and making her father proud. She always was a Daddy's girl, and Percy being proud of her is the best gift he could ever give her. It is her reason to try so hard every day. Plus, she could have set a record with how many times she got her cousin James in trouble when she was just in her 5th year. Though, after a while, he shaped up, and Lucy took to focusing on her duties even more enthusiastically.
