Name: Rachel Lynn Isley Age: 30 Year/House OR Job: Headmistress / Care of Magical Creatures Professor Special Ability: Animagus (Corsac Fox) Description of your character with the power:
Rachel's fingers traced through the book in front of her slowly as she peered up at the women at the bar. She had been following her for days now and Rachel wasn't exactly sure why. "Come on Rach, don't make yourself to suspicious." She sighed and leaned back in her chair. She glanced around the vast room of the Three Broomsticks Inn. Hogwarts was on holiday and Rachel took that opertunity to visit the quant village of Hogsmeade. It had been some time since she had been back to the village. She hadn't been there since her times in school herself. A few people sat at the various tables around the inn, but it wasn't them that stuck out in her sight. Her eyes focused back on the woman at the bar and then shot back down to the book in front of her when she realized the woman was watching her again.
A light sigh left Rachel's lips and she closed the book in front of her, standing from her seat, and place 2 sickles on the table as payment for the butterbeer she had drank. With another quick glance at the woman, Rachel made her way to the back of the inn towards the bathrooms. Reaching out, she wrapped her thin fingers around the door handle and turned the knob, pushing the door open and using the action as means to take another look towards the bar. The woman had stood up as well and was now walking in Rachel's direction. "Come and get me.." The words were barely audible, even to Rachel, as she spoke them. She stepped into the bathroom closing the door behind her and quickly made her way to one of the stalls. Almost frantically, she swung open the door and stepped inside, slamming it shut behind her, resting her back against the door.
She closed her eyes, the images of the corsac foxes her mother and her used to care for played through her mind. The soft, grey-white fur and their cute little faces. Her thoughts shifted to herself as she imagined herself shifting from her human body into one of the corsac foxes. That was all she needed. She opened her eyes as her body transfigured itself into the creature that had just held onto her thoughts. Her body was now that of a corsac fox. A wry grin stretched across her long snout. The perks of being an animagi. The sound of the bathroom door opening snapped her out of her thoughts. She had almost forgotten about the woman who had been following her. Slinking down to the floor, Rachel watched for the womans feet to round the corner. Slowly, she made her way under the stall barriers to the last one closest to the door.
The woman rushed by the stall into the main area of the bathroom. Rachel's eyes traced her every move as the woman began opening every stall from the far end down, wand in hand. Now was the chance she had been waiting for. She didn't know who this woman was, but she had her ideas. And if she was right, she would finally get to avenge her parents death this day. She snuck out from under the last stalls barrier into the hallway of the bathrooms. She could see the image of herself in her mind. Her blonde wavy hair, her teal eyes, her slate blue blouse. Everything feature she posessed, filled her senses as her body retransfigured itself back to her human self. She back up against the wall, listening to the woman bust open the door to the stall she had started in. Rachel's hand slipped into her front pants pocket and slowly drew her wand. Tonight, she would get her revenge. Or at least answers. Answers she had been searching for, for quite some time. She was ready.. it was time.

Name: Lily Potter Age: Seventeen Year/House OR Job: Gryffindor Special Ability: Parseltongue The middle of the night, sitting in your dorm room while surrounded by peaceful sleeping girls, was the best time of day. No, Lily didn't mean that in a creepy 'I watch you while you sleep' way, it was just how she felt. When everyone else was lost in dreamland it was quiet and peaceful. There wasn't a whisper of sound save for the occasional whistling breath of one of the four other girls sleeping under their covers. There was none of the loud chatter that usually echoed through the dorm room (though if Lily said she hated those times she'd be lying, seeing as she usually took part in the gossip herself), there was none of the hustle and bustle of rushing to classes down the hallways, and there was none of the drama that came with a school as large as Hogwarts. The middle of the night was a time completely for Lily alone.
Lily was wide awake, despite the fact that she had to awake at five am for an early Quidditch practice. She sat up in her bed, her knees pulled up to her chest in what she found to be a comfortable position as she looked out of the window on the right side of her bed. It was a beautiful night. There was no wind outside, the air was calm, and there were just a few wispy clouds making their way across a nearly full moon. Some people might find it to be a little bit too still outside, and therefore eerie, but Lily loved evenings like this.
She looked down to the end of her bed where her trunk, like every other girl's trunks, lay. Focusing on the box she opened her mouth, and in a quiet voice so as not to wake the other girls, she began to speak. But the words that came from her pale lip weren't anything understandable to human ears, nor to veela or werewolf. The strange mix if hisses and whispers sounded like some weird ancient language, or perhaps a snake inspired form of gibberish, to anyone not of Lily's 'talent', but to her her words were entirely straightforward. She might as well have been speaking perfect English.
"Come on out, Naga," and at her beckoning the trunk moved, the lid swinging open just enough for a long pale thing to slither out of it, rising up by climbing up one of the legs of her four-poster bed and crawling along the covers. Lily smiled, reaching out her hand to let it graze over the snake's back as she glided underneath it.
"You need a bigger trunk," the snake hissed to the seventh year girl, flicking out her tongue to taste the air. The python was nearing five feet in length, and gone were the days when it could sleep peacefully in the bottom of the girl's trunk.
Lily just laughed, as softly as possible. "It's big enough for my things, and that is its purpose, you know. It wasn't built to be a snake's house." Naga only gave the snake equivalent of 'hmph' in reply, and fell into silence as she slithered up Lily's arm to wrap herself around the witch's shoulders.
When Lily had first had the snake she got it because... well, she didn't know why. She was an eleven year old girl hyped up on the idea that she could go to the famous school she'd heard about her entire life, and learn to do the awesome magical things she saw her parents do every day. She'd heard her father talk about this great snake 'Nagini', who was only great in size (he never explained the details of that snake to the little girl) and she decided she wanted one of her own. Once they went to Diagon Alley and Lily saw tiny Naga curled up in the back of a cage, she knew she had to have her. Imagine her parent's surprise when, a week before finally going to Hogwarts, Lily told them that she could understand the snake. Harry had lost his ability to speak parseltongue with Voldemort's death, but something odd had happened with his daughter. Perhaps it was the fact that both her parents had once spoken parseltongue (Ginny when she was possessed in her second year of schooling and Harry until he was seventeen) that had triggered a strange reaction in the young girl, and though her family was not known descendants of Salazar Slytherin in any way, she inherited his family's famous ability. Lily really wasn't complaining. She'd love Naga even if she couldn't understand the snake, but sometimes she had interesting things to say that Lily would hate to miss out on. Being a parseltongue was fun.
