Safyer's tanned skin is both due to her mother's heritage and to quite a bit of time in the sun. Safyer has well toned muscles from a lot of running around as a child.

Safyer is smart and caring. She will help her friends when they need it. Safyer is also very flirtatious. When she sees a cute boy she will flirt. Its a habit and she can't help it. Safyer, however, does not like Slytherins and wished that their House was called something else and that they were a nicer lot. This girl will flirt with cute boys from all Houses even from Slytherins despite her hatred for that House.

Safyer was the only child born to Nathan and Parvati Philips. Her cousins ________ Goldstein, _______ Goldstein, and _______ Goldstein were the only people she played with growing up and they are all older than her. Safyer learned from a young age all about the magic world from her mother and father. From a young age, Safyer always mistook her aunt for her mother. From a young age she had always wanted to go to Hogwarts for her mother. Being an only child had its perks. Safyer got to have a lot of what she wanted without being spoiled, do what she wanted within reason, and on a few occasions got to drink with her parents!
As her eleventh birthday drew nearer and nearer she became more and more excited about possibly going to Hogwarts. Then the day came. An owl flew into the open front window and Safyer saw it was from Hogwarts. With a squeel she tore the letter from the owl's leg and opened it. It did indeed say she had been accepted to Hogwarts. The girl begged her mother and father to take her to Diagon Alley right a right. With a laugh from each of them the three set off. Safyer bought all the things she needed for school.
The three returned home and Safyer held on to her newly aquired wand lovingly. Her 10 1/2 inch, cherry wood, and unicorn hair core was very pretty. The girl vowed that she would keep it in pristine condition. The summer passed eventfully, Safyer spent the entire summer panning for school. When September came her parents showed her off to the train and the girl traveled in one of the compartments alone. She bought some candies from the trolley when it came around and went to the loo, but other then that she never left her little compartment. Finally around 5 PM the train pulled into Hogsmeade and Safyer was just finishing putting on her robes. It had a blank spot, but she was sure that she would have whatever House emblam she would be in on it.
The first years entered the castle and were sorted. When it came to Safyer, after several in front of her, the hat had wanted to place her in Ravenclaw, but the girl didn't want that. "GRYFFINDOR!" Safyer was now in the same House her mother had been when she had been at Hogwarts. Safyer couldn't wait to begin her first year at Hogwarts. What lay in store for her?
