Matt does not look like the average Greyback. The traits he has inherited from his father have always seemed muted in appearance as his mother’s became quite prominent. His sandy blond hair always falls over his brilliant blue eyes in a manner befitting a mischievous teenage boy. Hi light skin is always counterbalanced with a rosy tint to his cheeks. His face is well defined with a strong chin and an ever happy smile. He tends to play with his hair and seems a bit self conscious of it most of the time. He flicks in out of his face quite often.
He stands a tall 6’0 with a thin but athletic build. Even his stature seems to be inherited by his mother’s side as it is far more slender than his blury half-brothers. Though slender, his muscles are well defined naturally. He doesn’t go out of his way to work out but always looks in peek physical condition.
His rather angelic appearance is nothing that a Greyback should be and he is quite happy to be mistaken for someone else’s son.
He usually wears lose fitted dark jeans with a variety of shirts with witty saying or pictures on them. He likes to have a bit of a laugh with what he wears while adding a bit of cool swag with it. He usually pairs it off with his dark leather jacket or his aviator sunglasses to pull off the look he is going for. Really, he is not as concerned with his appearance as some are but he still wants to take pride in what he looks like. He doesn’t think he’s the best looking kid around but he doesn’t think he’s any slacker either. He likes the medium he is in.

Tempermental
Matt wears his emotions on his sleeve. As much as he tries to control them they always seem to creep up on him. Though he is never violent it is easy to tell what kind of mood he is in. He can get defensive rather easily and is quick to judge. He hates the fact that he is like his father in this way. His deep seeded abandonment issues have phased him more than he would ever let on but his emotions are what are crying out for help. Little things can tick him off and set him in a bad mood for the rest of the day. He doesn’t like himself when it comes to this part of his personality but he has yet to find a way to fix it.
Endearing
Despite his obvious flaws, he can pull off even his darkest hours with a cute little smile. He always tries to make things right between the few people he cares about and many find it to be an admirable and endearing trait. People can’t help but melt when Matt puts on a smile and tries his best to bring out the best in others. His kindness is never in doubt as he tries to change himself for the better.
PlayfulMatt always likes to have a good time. No matter what kind of hour it is he looks for the best possible way to get a laugh. He hold no bars when it comes to entertainment and is known for thinking up crazy ideas for his group of friends to do while in between classes or on the weekends. His sense of humour is good natured but slightly sarcastic and adapts well to any given situation. He is in it for the laughs and the stories not for the seriousness…he will save that for his family. He will always be able to laugh at himself when he does idiotic things.
CoolMatt has a sort of swagger about him that makes everyone around him stop and stare. He has an act for making anything he does look particularly cool and easy. From the way he dresses down to every last bit of his personality he lets show he comes across as that guy all the other guys want to be and all the girls want to be with. His less than reputable traits are only seen as the bit of edginess needed to make him that cool guy with the oddly good boy rep from such a bad boy family. This trait, he feels is a complete lie to the real Matthew Greyback, though he doesn’t know if he is ready to give up his status as one of the people in the ‘it’ crowd. Through this crowd he has attained things he could scarcely dream about at home.
(Hidden) Self-Concious
Matt constantly worries that one day he will turn into the person he hates the most. He doesn’t like who he is despite the fact that he is well liked and has many friends. He is uncomfortable with facing who he really is and what he is going to become. He always second guesses himself though no one would ever know it considering how he somehow manages to pull things off. Though he is not afraid to laugh at himself, he does curse himself for his own failed stupidity constantly.
Social Butterfly
Despite his insecurities Matt has many friends. He doesn’t just settle with one particular group but loves hanging out with a variety of people. He’s a friend to everyone but those who help run his life are like him in a way that they have attained the same kind of popularity as he has. He doesn’t like to think his reputation guides his life but it does/ Though when he was younger he was rather shy he has since learned to get over that when making new friends. In a friendly atmosphere Matt makes the most of who he is with and instantly forms some kind of connection with them. Matt is always out for a laugh and a good time and sees that he can have that with anyone who is willing to get over his difficulties.

Unlike many of his father’s affairs, which consisted of short one night stands and forcible interactions, Fenrir and Matilda’s relationship was different. Despite her best intentions she had fallen head over heels for the aggressive, burly werewolf. She thought she could change him and he could become a committed boyfriend and future husband for her. The moments of bliss she experienced seemed to be slightly one sided and soon everything fell apart. Matilda found out that Fenrir had been sleeping around behind her back and had gotten another woman pregnant. Matilda was devastated and was left depressed and angry when she found out. Fenrir soon after left Matilda, leaving her even worse than she had already been. She couldn’t eat, sleep, or drink anything and found herself sick to her stomach. She truly believed her broken heart was going to kill her and she didn’t particularly care. The physical symptoms of her despair was later explained as morning sickness as a few months later Matilda also found out that she too was pregnant.
Matt arrived just in time to save his mother from a devastating fate. Her broken heart was never to be fully healed but with the help of Matt’s arrival it was, for a time, put on hold. Growing up, Matt was a sweet child, always wanting to help his mother out. She continually became more distant and hard to reach due to her depression. His father was never really in his life, though he did frequently hear the same stories about his mother and Fenrir’s love affair and the blissful memories she had of the man.
As he grew older, Matt found that he resented the figment of a man he was supposed to call his father. Only knowing him through his mother’s stories and the stories told to him by those who knew his father. The more he heard the less he ever wanted to be associated with the man. Matilda’s depression spiraled into a deep seeded medical condition that has its good and bad points. Many times during his time at home Matt had to look after his mother with the help of his grandmother. Some days were better than others. Her emotional imbalance has led to much stress on the young man.
When he got to Hogwarts, Matt found that he had a much larger family than he ever expected. He had known about a fair few, but never was able to put the faces to the names. He didn’t like the way he was lumped together with the heard of kids Fenrir had and tried to distance himself as much as he could from the group. It was made harder when he met the half-brother that destroyed his mother’s mental health. The half-brother he shared a year with but thankfully not a house. He was sorted into Gryffindor while he brother into Slytherin.
Though he has no physically similar traits with his brothers and sisters, he has unfortunately inherited the well known Greyback mood swings. His issues have troubled him and he has never been able to really control or suppress his emotions as well as he would have liked. His is driven by the moment. He wears his emotions on his sleeves and he says what he means, always, and that has a habit of getting him into a bit of trouble here and there.
Throughout his time at Hogwarts Matt has continually tried to make a name for himself. He has never considered himself a Greyback and tries his hardest to distance himself from them as they stand for everything he has learned to hate over the years. Now entering his sixth year at Hogwarts, Matt is trying to find his place in life. He just wants to be happy but finds it hard to allow himself to do so.
At school he came by friends easily. He soon found himself at the top of the social ladder with many of his close friends. Though he is well liked by a large proportion of the student body he can’t help but think it’s all just a lie masking the truth of who he is. He likes the privileges that come with being popular and though they seem to be a bit superficial he has never felt as loved as he does now at school. It’s just a means to an end but he’s not sure he is ready to give that up and really figure out what and who he is supposed to be.
